If there is a lesson Covid -19 Pandemic and the lock down has taught us, it is the need to be self employed.
Most women living with disabilities especially the down trodden always almost depends on relatives and friends for survival. But with the Pandemic, the source of livelihood of those they depended on was locked down. Hence dependants had to focus on themselves first. So you find most special needs people beg for alms or for food.
To guard against future occurrence, the Differently Abled Foundation seeks to empower disabled people with livestock farming skills and provide them with funding to actually kick start the project.
This project will also provide outlets I.E Kiosk for disabled women where their farm produce can be sold for profit.
This project will end their unemployment status and also remove them from abject poverty.
We cannot do this alone
It is capital intensive
